The Christian Walk is filled with promises of strength, boldness, and victorious living. Yet many believers live weak, discouraged, and overwhelmed. One of the most powerful but under-taught expressions of the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Might. It is not simply strength for the sake of exertion—it is divine empowerment to fulfill God’s assignments, defeat enemies, and live triumphantly
Isaiah 11:2 gives us a picture of the sevenfold Spirit of God that rested upon Jesus. Among them is the Spirit of Might—not just available to Christ alone, but to every Spirit-filled believer.
The Distinction: Might vs. Faith To walk in the Spirit of Might, we must first distinguish it from the gift of faith:• Faith is the spiritual ability to believe God and trust His promises.• Might is the power to carry out what faith believes. Where faith says, “I believe God can heal,” the Spirit of Might says, “Lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. “Where faith says, “God can make a way,” might pushes forward and parts the Red Sea. In simple terms, faith believes but might acts.
